MT2 and MT3 Tool Holders

Especially for hard metal tools, the tool holder is very important for the long life, safety and reliability of the tool.

The tool holder uses a collet with multiple tips to fully enclose and clamp the tool. The tool holder provides #2 and #3 Morse taper shanks or 20mm straight cylindrical shanks to suit your machine specifications.

The tool holder uses a specially designed aluminum cooling disk to dissipate heat that may rise up the drill column to the motor assembly.

MT2 is designed for drill bits with a diameter of 2.0 mm to 16.4 mm

MT3 can be used for drill bits with a diameter of 2.0 mm to 50.8 mm

Collet

The collet with multiple tips fully encloses and clamps the tool. This optimal clamping system ensures no slipping during the high-speed rotation required in the process.

Collets sized ER25 6 to 14 are suitable for MT2 tool holders

Collets sized ER32 6 to 20 are suitable for MT3 tool holders

The flow drill heat sink shank can not only clamp the flow drill bit to ensure the accuracy of tool operation, but also has other important functions: the special aluminum alloy heat dissipation plate has many small holes, which can quickly dissipate heat, reduce the high temperature generated by drilling (the temperature during continuous operation can reach 600-800℃), and ensure that the equipment spindle will not be damaged due to excessive temperature.

We can improve the heat sink tool shanks of the following specifications for drilling equipment:

1. Manual drilling machine: Two types of Morse tapers, Morse #2 taper and Morse #3 taper, as well as Ø16 Ø20mm cylindrical heat sink shank are available.

2. CNC machining center: BT30, BT40, HSK a-63, iso30, iso40, SK40, cat40 coolant tool holders are available

Collet Chuck:

Spring collet: high concentricity and surface finish, specially heat-treated, the precision structure can reliably ensure that the flow drill will not slip at high speed.

The heat sink tool holder is available with the following ER25 and ER32 chucks:

ER25 is used for drilling holes with a diameter of 2.0 to 16.4 mm;

ER32 is used for drilling holes with a diameter of 2.0 to 50.8 mm.
