Investment casting, also known as lost-wax casting, includes wax injection, wax dressing, tree assembly, setting, wax melting, molten metal pouring and post-processing.Lost-wax casting involves making a wax model of the part to be cast, then coating the wax model with slurry to form a mud mold.After drying, hot water is added to the mud mold to melt the wax model inside.Next, it is taken out and baked into a ceramic mold.Generally, a gate is left when making the mud mold, and then molten metal is poured into the gate. After cooling, the required part is made.
